🌿 Offbeat Lakeside Hike to Karjat — A Hidden Escape for Families
I recently had the privilege of joining the "Sunflower Hike" at Boisar with Join With Me, and it was an experience that exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, the founder, Raj Chheda, welcomed everyone with warmth and humility. It’s rare to meet someone so dedicated to creating such meaningful experiences in nature, and his presence truly set the tone for the day. The hike itself was a perfect blend of adventure and serenity. As we trekked through the lush landscape, I was enchanted by the hidden pond that we stumbled upon. We also explored a beautiful Shiv temple on the way, then came the banyan tree, to be around 150 years old, and stood as a silent guardian of the forest. Its sprawling roots and massive branches created a perfect spot for us to pause, relax, and soak in the beauty of nature. Of course, the highlight of the hike was the sunflower field itself. The golden blooms stretched as far as the eye could see, and it was a dream come true to be surrounded by so much vibrant beauty. It had been on my bucket list for years, and standing in the midst of the sunflowers, it was an emotional moment for me since the attachment i have with sunflowers on a personal level is beautiful. The "farm-to-table" experience was another highlight. The breakfast and lunch provided were fresh, wholesome, and absolutely delicious. You could feel the care and love that went into preparing each meal. Oh the lemOn juice❤️ I went on this hike solo for the first time, but not for a second did I feel alone. Inspired by the experience, I returned the next time with 10 of my friends, and it was even more beautiful than I had imagined. Watching them experience the sunflower fields, hidden pond, and banyan tree for the first time was truly magical. If you’ve ever dreamed of standing in the midst of a sunflower field, feeling the warmth of the sun on your face and the breeze whispering through the petals, while also exploring the beauty of hidden spots in nature, this is an experience you cannot miss. It was truly an incredible experience. Travelling with our 21-month-old toddler, safety and comfort were our top priorities, and the Join With Me team ensured both seamlessly throughout the hike. The experience was well planned, thoughtfully guided, and highly accommodating for families with young children.
